Frequently asked questions

Why wouldn't I just hire a full-time designer?
Good question! The annual cost of a full-time senior-level designer now exceeds £47,500, plus benefits, plus you have to go through the normal 3 step hiring process and interviews, PLUS paying a recruitment agency. Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you're stuck paying for time you aren't able to utilise. With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you're only paying your designer when you have work available for them.
Do you do custom plans?
Absolutely! No matter the degree of output or the level of design, we can put together a custom plan that will work for your organisation or company size, we also do ADHoc jobs too, just Get in touch and we can talk through the options.
How fast will I receive my designs?
On average, most requests are completed in just few days or less. However, more complex requests can take longer for example: Web projects or development support.
Who are the designers?
You might be surprised to hear this, but Gigaflux is actually a studio of two, Melvyn - the designer and Rob - the geek (developer). This means you'll work directly with Melvyn, co-founder of Gigaflux for all your design and branding needs. However, power-ups requests such as animations, marketing or custom illustrations are provided by partner UK designers and marketers.
What if I only have a single request?
That's fine. You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional design needs. There's no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste - we do ask you allow 2 months for branding projects and more complex web design and development projects.
How does the pause feature work?
We understand you may not have enough design work to fill up entire month. Perhaps you only have one or two design requests at the moment. That's where pausing your subscription comes in handy.

Billing cycles are billed on the 1st of every and design time is based on a monthly cycle. Let's say you sign up and use the service for half of a month, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you'll have the remailing the rest of the month to finalise anything you need before the last day of the month. 
What programs do you design in?
Most requests are designed using Adobe Creative CC & Figma.
How do I request designs?
Gigaflux offers a ton of flexibility in how you request designs using Monday or Trello. Some common ways clients request designs is directly via Trello, sharing Google docs or wireframes, or even recording a brief Loom video (for those who prefer not to write their briefs out). Basically, if it can be linked to or shared in Monday or Trello, You’ll get your request, we can also speak with you direct via Discord or Slack.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that things change. You can cancel your plan at any time and you get the remaining time left for the month. Due to the amount of high quality design work we don't issue refunds.
How does Gigaflux differ from the competition?
First and foremost, we have tremendous admiration for other design agencies and hold immense respect for freelance designers worldwide.

‍Instead of considering them as "competition," we prefer to view them as our brothers and sisters within the design community. Nevertheless, there are a few distinctive features that set Gigaflux apart.
